LifeEcho is a social media platform that is designed to connect, equip and multiply Christ centered, discipleship relationships. LifeEcho is a Facebook application that harnesses all the power of Facebook for the purpose of discipleship. We are currently under construction and expect to begin Beta testing this summer.
The LifeEcho journey begin in February 2011. God placed a dream on my heart while reading Tim Elmore's book Generation iY. The vision was fuzzy at the time. However, it was clear that God was stirring a movement in/through me. After a year of searching we landed on the LifeEcho concept in March of 2012. Shortly there after +Tom Newberry joined me in the journey. Since then we have been faithfully moving the ball down the field one step at a time.
The basic concept of LifeEcho is to harness the power of our God given story by connecting people in the right relationships to accomplish 1st century discipleship. 2 Corinthians 1:3&4 details this idea, "the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we are ourselves are comforted by God." Working with teenagers and college students as a Director at Kanakuk Kamps I am amazed by the power of our stories. When we allow our greatest wounds to be healed by a loving God they become weapons for the sake of the Gospel. We see countless lives transformed at Kamp every summer as Jesus places Godly college students in the lives of young people.
It is our dream that God would use LifeEcho to create a contagious movement of Discipleship worldwide. Our commitment is to simply remain faithful to the dream and let God do whatever He wants with it.
